sounds like you need to create host records in your internal dns db for your
external resources. so create records for whatever hosts are published on
the internet - public dns.

if you want, send me your domain name off-line and i'll try to help more.

Subject: DNS zones issues...woes...

Need some help with what should be a simple issue. I simply cannot access
any documents on my website or web server by its friendly
name...www.domain.com...internally. I can only access those resources by
using it's IP address. Those resources are available externally with no
problem.
Now...I want to maintain a single namespace for my home network.
It's my understanding that to maintain a single namespace, I'd have to
create atleast 2 zones to keep everything internal seperate from external.
Is this possible?
Create 2 host records for 'www', one for the domain and one for the web
server.
Create an alias or Cname for the web server.
It doesn't seem as though this is possible. So any feedback is appreciated.
