I'm attempting to remove two child domains that no longer physically exists on my network but still show in my Domains & Trusts, Replication monitor, and in my event logs. I'm thinking I can do a metadata cleanup on the DC but the process seems incomplete. It states: 1. open 'cmd' prompt and type ntdsutil. 2. type metadata cleanup 3. type connections 4. type connect to server name - which i can do successfully
My question is that if the servers that once housed these 2 domains are no longer physically on the network, how will this process work? It appears as though I should be performing this procedure on the server on which the changes will occur. I simply want to remove all instances of these domains from my site. Any help is appreciated. ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
