It buys you: 1) no need to create install disks. 2) a client that has 128 bit encryption, so if you change from 40 bit to 128 on server you do not need to do 1) again 3) drag and drop between TS windows explorer and local PC windows explorer. 4) bitmap caching (see options button on client for more features) 5) alt-tab works in TS client and not at local PC 6) Ful screen there is a small tobar at the top (can autohide) which enable you to minimise/maximise/restore the screen
Lots of little things that are really good for an admin. you will never go back to the old original client.
