Thanks, I'll give pcounter a try. A 60-day trial period is VERY generous of
them

Subject: Print monitoriing

Is anybody aware of a simple mechanism to monitor Windows 2000 networked
printers, such that I can see who is sending how many print jobs with how
many files to a specific printer, and whether they ask for one copy or many
copies ?

As a company we charge users for Xerox services, but not for printing
services, so people tend to print 10 copies of a report rather than printing
one copy and then paying to have it copied nine times ! This tends to tie
up the printers and under-utilize the copying service.

Auditing printers just shows me who submitted a print job, but not how big
the job was (pages etc) or how many copies were requested
