What do you mean, you don't have his original version?

I had a slightly similar issue. I used IEAK to distribute the newest
version of IE. However, the appl analyst requested that I include the
active desktop option. I had some difficulty doing that until I removed all
the files from the download folder I had created when I got the IE files
from MS. I then reran IEAK which, seeing no files at all, downloaded the
files from MS. From there it was a simply procedure to reinstall over the
IE that was on the user's computer.

Subject: Stuck with an IEAK IE

A previous admin installed a group of computers (NT4) with an IEAK version
of IE
We now need to modify some of these installs but do not have his original
source.
Does anyone know how to get around the IEAK ?
If you upgrade the version the IEAK is still in place.

Ideas?
TIA!
