A30 Thinkpad upgraded from Winnt 4.0 workstation (SP6) to Win2K (SP2). 2 Hardware Profiles - Network Connection - Dial Up. Logged in user, while connected to the domain, for the first time after the Win2K upgrade. Setup all applications (Outlook, AS/400, Internet Explorer, Dial Up Software, Drive Mappings). All worked as expected.
Rebooted and selected Dial Up, logged in with cached information to the Domain as the same user. Dialed up corporate network and connected via VPN. Outlook, AS/400, Connection to intranet work fine. Outlook and Intranet requires NT Authentication to work. Drive Mappings do not work. I can browse the network but when I select a server to see it's shares, it just hangs. I have left the laptop up for about 5 minutes to see if a mesage will come back but so far nothing does. Maybe I am not waiting long enough. If I reboot and go back to network connection profile, drive mappings work. Is there something I am missing for drive mappings to work?
