I have over 500gigs of user data that I need to start archiving. What I want to do is, move files older then a year from primary storage to secondary storage but have the program place a shortcut of the file at the original location. This way if the users need it, they can double click on the shortcut and have it automatically restored. Secondary storage will be a NAS or SAN. Then I want my backup program to archive files older then two years onto tape so they can be removed off the network completely. Asking users to clean up files is not working, and setting policies causes every user to suddenly become an exception to the rule. (yeah they need to be all lined up and shot) Anyone know of a good tool that will do this? Thanks in advance. Wilson
