On a Windows 2000 server, when I try to access IIS (either from the Management Console or otherwise) I get the message "can't find the path specified". Upon further investigating, I get the same general message (error 3 can't find path specified) when I try to start the World Wide Web Publishing Service, SMTP service, FTP publishing service. The only web related service that wants to work is IISADMIN Service. I can get to the web on this computer but IE crashes very soon after. Also in the system event logs (after rebooting) for each of these services comes two entries. One saying "the metabase path /LM/MSFTPSVC (or insert service name here) could not be opened. The data is the error code." The second one saying the "service" terminated due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified. If anyone can please help it would be much appreciated. ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ********************************************************************** This email is not an official statement of the Waikato Regional Council unless otherwise stated.
