Quite Simply, I would like to get a faster, quicker environment! Due to
the nature of our business, our programmers are often installing and
deinstalling various applications or software packages as required
during their day-to-day run. I'd like them to be able to simply select
from a range of these from a webpage, and have them install
automatically.

It saves them having to search for the right tool or app, and saves them
time in the long run.

What does "Image" do, and where did it come from?

What are you using to repackage these installs?

The I suppose the ultimate deployment is to install, customize and
configure a program locally, repackage it in its current state, and then
send that package out to clients where it's just installed in the
same-state.

What software does this?

It sounds interesting so far, thanks for the insight you've already
offered!
