You can, and I am doing exactly that. Two NC6xxx Fibre cards teamed to the user LAN in each node in load balanced mode rather than auto fail on fault. Some said why bother, but I responded with "why fail the whole cluster over if just one card, or one cable or one switch port fails or is unplugged?"
