Subject: nt4/xp-profiles problem

Hi,

my company has a windows 2000 ad (mixed mode). Most member servers
are already windows 2000 (sp2).
Now we are going to migrate the clients from nt4 --> xp. All Users have
roaming profiles. xp-users get a new profile (at a new location) during
migration.
Unfortunatelly I can't prevent xp-users to logon from an old
nt4-workstation.
If they do so, the user's xp-profile is filled with a lot of trash (files,
folders and
nt4 policy settings). This may lead to corrupted profiles....

I've already tried to abort the logon process for those users while
executing the
logon script (kix32). It works but the profile is still written back to the
server.

Does anybody know of a way to solve this issue? How can I protect my xp
profiles?

Thanks
Nikos Makris
