Dear all,

I have recently upgraded my Windows NT Server to Windows 2000 AD. The
upgrade was successful.
I have another Windows 2000 Server which I would like to dcpromo to AD; the
server was promoted to AD successfully with out any error. After restarting
the systems, on accessing the Active Directory for users and computers I got
this error "Naming information cannot be located because: The server is not
operational. Contact your system administrator to verify that your domain is
properly configured and is not currently offline"

I checked the MS knowledgebase to look for the work around but did not
correct the error.(LDAP port 389 must be open)

I access the first Upgraded server Active Directory for users and computers
I got the same error, but when I demoted the second server, I can access the
Active Directory for users and computers on the first Server.

What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help.

Emmanuel
