You can *try* to use MS's built-in Wininstall LE, but no guarantees there. Personally we use Wise Package Studio for .msi package creation. Comes with some good documentation, along with conflict detection and testing of the package without actually installing it. If you are going to be doing .msi's, I suggest you read up a lot on doing it. It isn't just a piece of cake, and you can expect to spend quite a bit of time with some applications. Personal experience there.
