When I originally setup WINS between W2K WINS and NT4 WINS in the same domain, the only issue I had was with setting up replication partners. It appears there was an issue (dcom?) when administered NT4 wins from a W2K box. The boxes were in the same domain, so it was not a trust issue. The workaround was to administer each WINS with its respective tool.
