here is a better description of what is transpiring: our network consists of 2 sites connected by a 1024k frame relay pipe, last week sometime some clown from sprint decided he would snip our connection.. anyway in our main office we have PDC and here in my office we have the BDC well since the line was down for more than 4 days I promoted my BDC to a PDC and(becuase at the end of the month we were due for a new circuit and I figured we could skate until then if the connection didn't get back up).. well once our frame was back up I demoted my PDC back to a BDC per technet instructions, but now when I try to add any machine to the domain it chokes... unless I install Netbeui... and our network has always been a pure TCP/IP network...
