If it amounts to any appreciable work or the purchase of some 3rd party software, it would be about as cost-effective to just load W2K on a spare box. Hardware is cheap, you could get at least a limited response automagically.

I have a situation where a parallel printer is shared on a Win9X machine, and sales people are going to be sending CSR's directly to this printer. The issue at hand is the sales people are irresponsible (big surprise) and NEED either an automated email sent back to them, letting them know that the submitted a CSR to print on the CSR printer or some other automated response and logging of printouts sent to that printer. I am trying to either find some sort of software that could do this or write something for this. It's all about tracking of documents printed and using a SHARED win9X machine you don't get the server type functionality as you would with using a printer that has say a jet direct card. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated. ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
