All,

I have wrestled with the KB again, and my faith has been restored.

My solution is here: Q308296 - install SP3.

Apparently there is a problem with the spooler.dll that when you log onto a
machine with a locally shared printer, it doesn't just hide the isntalled
share you might have, but it also hides some or all network shared printers.

All replys to me on this topic were much appreciated.
