This is another post from a previous topic - I have a client running a
new win2k/sp3 server and XP clients patched up.  When they open an XL
document and then close, the open files list on the server shows the
file record there.  If they do not shut down their PC in a week, there
are a lot of files showing in the open files list when they are not in
use. 

What is happening, is when another user tries to open the document that
someone else closed, they get the error saying it is in use.  There have
been many times when the same user were to open the file again, it would
say it is in use.

Any thoughts?  Can I force the open files cache list to clear in a
timeframe when the file is closed?
