If everyone is on a good pipe to the app server after the fact. And if all the apps you install are msi or can be converted to msi, then GPO works well. This leaves quite a bit out in the cold, especially if there are any in-house apps.
If the space is there, it is definitely worth doing the riprep images as well, INMHO. Just be careful with OS updates, some overwrite core files and the final image has to agree at the core with the original install used for the OS. Deploy apps using AD and GPO's. That works for me. In particular what steps or procedures are being used in deploying desktops and/or installing apps. Are you all creating the images with the necessary apps installed or are you running scripts after installation of the image? Any response is appreciated. ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to %%email.unsub%% ------ You are subscribed as [email protected] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
