Is ras client's subnet mask value the same as ras server?
When you define the scope, can you define the gateway address?

Subject: Default Gateway has same IP Address

Hi Experts,
I hope you can help me out of a big hole?.
I have build a new server and I am using it for RAS.
I have given a scope of addresses that the clients can pick up,and have
enabled the clients accrss to "entier network".
When I ras in , I get verified and I get my Ip Addrress,Wins servers,DNS
but my default GW is the same as my Ip address, even though when I use
winipcfg or ipconfig I can see all the IP info I cannot ping any where.I
have tried this on 3 different laptops and running XP,2000,98 and a pc
running NT 4.0.
I have tried giving the clients static addresses but same issue, I get
verified but cannot ping.

Any help would be great.

Martin
