Background:
In the Internet Explorer address bar, if you press Ctrl-Enter after entering
a URL, IE will automatically add www. and .com. For example, if you type
"ford" and press Ctrl-Enter, IE automatically changes the entry to
"www.ford.com" and immediately loads Ford's website.
Problem:
One of my computers (it happens to run XP) does not do this. If I
enter "ford" and press Ctrl-Enter, the entry does not change and IE attempts
to load ford, which fails and loads MSN search.
Notes:
I've used the Ford website as an example. The behavior is the same
for any URL.
Any ideas?
