  You can do it a number of ways.  You can have completely separate Windows
and Unix accounts.  That works kinda like a Windows "workgroup" network
without a domain controller.  You can have separate Unix accounts, but
employ various mechanisms to keep them sync'ed.  Or, you can pull account
information from an NT domain controller (using "winbind"), without local
Unix user accounts at all.
