I'm on a 100MB pipe to the 3 DC's. My system is a 1.5ghz Evo500 w/256mb. One
DC, the upgraded PDC, is a Netfinity 5000 600mhz with 500mb of memory. The
other's are 1.2ghz IBM X series with 1.0ghz RAM. Both X series have been
added as global catalog servers.
We have 1842 user accounts and approx 2000 computer accounts.
Hope this helps
Chris

What are the specs of your machine?
What are the specs of your server?
How is your network configured?
How many objects (roughly) do you have in AD?

You should consider setting permissions at the command-line, in any
event.

Subject: Active Dir takes long time to load user list

Howdy- just successfully upgraded my domain to active directory. One
annoying thing is the fact that when I apply ntfs permissions from my
win2kpro box I have to wait until the full user list populates before I
start typing the name of the user. I noticed the computer accounts are
listed in there and didn't know if that slowed it down some or not.
Anyone have this problem. Any way to speed this up.. TIA Chris
