We are running Windows 2000 Server SP3 with Services for Macintosh. Every once in a while the server seems to have problems with this service. We will see a few, I mean literally 3 messages, in the event viewer with Event ID 12061. Once those messages appear, the server stops processing requests. For example, a user logging into the system is unable to access any of the shares on they system. The only option at this point is to reboot the server. I've found Q136300 and it states to prevent the error, have all Mac users close out all files and connections before shutting down. Believe it or not though, Mac's crash, too. Not only do they crash, but the users running them just power them off when they are done instead of closing things out properly. Has anyone found a workaround for this, as in a way to close these connections so they don't send a server off to lala land, or are our Services for Macintosh installation seriously mucked up and that is causing our problem?
