Using REGEDT32 you can check the permissions on the registry keys in question. I've run into this on Win2K on occasion and had to modify permissions.

I have VB6 running on my machine and I do a bit of development from time to time, but recently, whenever I go to add 'References' to the application environment, I get the message: "Error accessing the system registry" I also get this message if I try and do something in a VBA session. My OS is XP Pro. I can run Regedt32 from the command prompt, but it only seems to get the better of me through the programming interface(s). Help would be appreciated. Cheers, Tim DISCLAIMER: The content of this email is confidential and may contain legally privileged information intended only for the individual or entity named above.
