You need: W2K server for the new fax software. W2K server for file/print services. Why can't these go on a W2K member server in your existing domain? Then you can take the fax stuff off the PDC and you don't change your current domain setup. Or am I overlooking something you need? Also it sounds like you need a test W2k server to see if there really are any issues with the accounting app moving to Win2K, not to mention other W2K testing. It's currently running fax server software that is outgrowing the box. We need a new server to replace it and it needs to be Win 2K. Now I have only 1 BDC and 1 PDC. If I take the PDC offline and promote the BDC to a PDC, I only have one DC on this network. Can the Win 2K be a DC on NT4 domain. If so how? All this being said, can anybody point me to a good Win 2K book that'll help me get educated.
