Hi,
Is there anyone out there testing W2K EFS that could help me with this small
problem? I created an off-line stand alone root CA, then created an
Enterprise CA to issue certificates, I have two recovery agents applied to
the Domain Policy. At the client I encryted a folder, I could not recover
the data no matter what I try. when I use EFSINFO.EXE /U /R C:\DOC this is
what I got:
C:\>efsinfo /r c:\doc
c:\
Doc: Encrypted
Recovery Agents:
Unknown (OU=EFS File Encryption Certificate, L=EFS, CN=Administrator)
Unknown (CN=John Doe)
Unknown (CN=Recovery Agent)
C:\>efsinfo /u c:\doc
c:\
Doc: Encrypted
Users who can decrypt:
WIN2K\taccount (CN=test account)
Why does it show UNKNOWN as a domain for the Recovery Agents? This machine
IS a member of the domain.
