i suppose that would work. Its more of an annoyance than anything though...

but, to awnser some previous questions:

1. Its a Win2k machine
2. Logs on to a domain (always, except for logging as local admin).
3. Is set up as a "stationary" computer. (eh..non-roaming, whatever, I'm
not sure the options off hand).

Sounds like he initially logged into the machine itself (to configure
things, perhaps) and then later is logging into the LANGLEY domain. If so
log in as the local administrator of the PC and copy the <username> profile
over the <username.LANGELY> profile. Don't forget to set explorer to view
hidden and system files first.

It's not <LANGLEY.username>?

I have a user here who, when logging onto his machine, Windows creates a
"username.LANGLEY" profile (as we are on our own domain). He already has a
"username" profile, however, this is being ignored and a new profile
created.

Any ideas as to what may cause this and how to fix it?

He does have full permisions to his old profile, and nothing looks out of
the ordinary that I can tell.

TIA,

Shane

PS - I haven't had enough coffee yet. Hopefully this all makes sense. ;)
