Quick search of Google (both web and groups) let me to the following: Check out: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q313621
It's about conflicts between Third party port mapper services and Services for Unix.... It mentions: "The NobleNet port mapper service is installed as part of the Dell OpenManager Server agent. The NobleNet port mapper service might also be installed by other programs. The NobleNet port mapper program file is named Portserv.exe. This program runs when the NobleNet port mapper service starts. I did a search but didn't come up with much the server was a windows 2000 server sp3 running exchange 5.5 sp4 the reason I ask is because the other day I noticed our exchange server crawling and I looked at it and inetinfo.exe was hogging 99% of the CPU ( we use outlook web access), and after doing some preliminary troubleshooting(mostly cursing) found portserv.exe and shut it down and now my processor is back to normal utilization *************************************************************************** The information contained in this message is intended only for the confidential use of the recipient(s) named above.
