Grrrrrrrr. Anyone who pulls stunts like that should be thrown off the Internet. Taking steps to make things secure is not optional anymore. If you cannot afford to do it safely, then don't do it at all. The attitude that security is optional is harming the Internet. We should be able to bill every company that runs an insecure server for the money they cost us. I've got better things to do with my weekends than deal with DoS issues because some people are too lazy and/or stupid to take responsabiltiy for their actions.
