This is the fix at the link below. Alternately, you can block port 1434 on you SQL Server machine.

Subject: SQL worm?
Date: Sat, 25 Jan 2003 14:55:50 +0000

Hi,

My server caused a major problem early this morning when it tried to send 68Mbs of traffic through the routers at the hosting centre, and crashed the entire centre until they traced it to my machine.

The problem appears to be related to SQL Server, in that switching SQL Server off fixes the problem until it is switched back on again.

All security for SQL has been obsrved.

I would be most grateful if anyone has any suggestions as to what this might be, and where to get the fixes.

Thanks very much,

Adrian Cooper.
