Did you install ISA with the Firewall option? You have to set up an Access
Policy for HTTPS if you did. I believe it's blocking that port. ISA is great
when you get past the configuration. I love it...

Subject: Off-topic: ISA https trouble

This is off-topic, but I figured you folks would know something bout it:

I'm having trouble with MS ISA server not allowing https connections when
set as the proxy server for the browser (this happens whether it's IE,
Netscape, Mozilla, etc.). Depending on the browser, I get a different
message when attempting to connect, but it always comes back to not being
able to access the site. MS's knowledgebase has an article on this subject
but relates to the port that https is run over. The sites that we attempt
to access use standard port 443 as far as I know. In addition, attempting
to connect to a local secured site via port 443 yields the same result. I
have been unable to find anything more relevant on MS's knowledgebase about
this problem. Can anybody give an ISA-newbie a clue on this?

Specific info:

MS ISA server is running on Win2K server with sp3, and the latest hotfixes.

Thanks!

Matt
