Use your recovery console, booting off of win2k cd. best to restore that
off of backup if possible instead of CD. Should do SP3 again when machine
is back up... if restored off of CD.

Subject: Windows 200 Server missing HAL.dll

Dear Admins ,
I have a very strange problem . We have Windows 2000 servers and NTFS
Partitions running on them .
Today , I have noticed 2 servers going down , and displaying the error
message "corrupt or missing hal.dll" reinstall this file to the location
c:\winnt\system32 .

As these are important servers , i need to have this up at the earliest .
There are a lot of aplications runnuing on them .
Could some one of you all help me / ideas on how to solve this problem and
have this OS up and running asap.

Thanks in Advance

Rgds
Sandeep
