Martin, I'm using Faxination for Exchange with Exchange 5.5 and that's exactly how users send faxes. They open Outlook, select the contact from the list, and send the message (with or without attachments), just like any other email. However, if sent to a contact with a Business Fax listing the message is intercepted by the faxserver and sent out as a fax. Faxination automatically adds a custom cover sheet and reports back on the results of the transmission via Outlook. If you use Outlook to send e-mail, you can send a fax just as easily. No additional software required.
Also take a look at GFI's Faxmaker for Exchange package. Maybe a bit off-topic but I will try anyway. We have a Windows 2000 Server that we are going to use as a Fax's Server. We do also have a Windows 2000 Server wit Exchange 2000 installed. On the Exchange2000 server we have a lot of contact groups and contact users that have a Fax's number in theirs properties. I want Outlook 2000/2002 to choose a user from the contact list and the click/make a button that just sends the fax without opening any other fax programs. Is this possible?
