We've updated 80 of our Compaq ENS sff V1.0 machines from Windows NT 4.0 with Office 97 to Windows W2K, Office XP machines using a ghost image and left them at the login screen.
Looking at the machines after a month showed 12 of the machines to have crashed. The num lock key doesn't change when pressed, the screen mode shows the picture suspended and the machines cannot be pinged. Turning the machine on and off allows it to function normally, nothing in the event viewer to warrent any crashes, network activity shows nothing unusual. Power save is all turned off and BIOS is updated to the latest version. The next day, 2 showed crashed. The day after 5 showed. Has anyone heard of Windows 2000 crashing like this, not sure which way to run with it. ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
