We currently have a SQL Database server running on a Compaq Proliant 6400R
dual PIII500 Xeon processor server. Windows 2000 Server/ SQL 2000. Perfmon
is telling us that the processors are the bottleneck. We purchased 2 more
processors to run on this machine to hopefully gain some speed back. Since
we are already running a Multiprocessor HAL do I need to do anything to the
server (besides Smart Start System Config) in order for the additional
processors to be recognized?
Any advice, gotcha's, etc?
