Hello,

Refer to my previous posting, all workstations are running on
WIn2Kpro.

More details:

I am running a DOS database application (Clipper/Fox) on this W2Kbox
through share files (only IP protocol applied). Previously, the database
application was running on Netware with DOS workstation. The Database
size is only about 300- 600MB each module. There are serveral modules
though.

By looking at the log (perfmon and on the screen ), the average
available memory sometime dropped to 0. The server did not do the
swapping!! At that time, the users were doing files indexing and query
for report print out.

Very strange, in task manager->performance, the memoy usage graph just
showed only first block level out of five. Below, the Physical available
memory jumped up and down. For example, 600MB- >300->200->150->12->back
to 600 again within half an hour.

Can this be a problem of network disconnection?

There are two more win2K servers under the same domain, but there is no
problem at all. That might because those two servers are client/access.
No mapping drive.

Thanks for your idea.

Thavee
