I've recently begun backing up to some 80g USB IDE drives, seems to work very well. Wouldn't be hard to move up to 200g or higher. I take them offsite just like I still do my tapes. As an experiment, I'm reasonably impressed, at a price of about $200 per, I'm not spending the $ for a new AIT or DLT system.

We're considering buying a new LTO tape library but I wanted to check out other options.
