Hi all, Does using the printer setting "Print directly to the printer" do what it implies? Do print jobs get directed to the printer directly or is the print server somehow acting as a relay?
He is why it matters. I have a small office that has no print server to use. They use a VPN to connected to the corporate office. If I configure a printer on the corporate office's print server to print directly to a printer in the small office, will a print job submitted in the small office generate traffic to the print server in the corporate office and relay it back to the printer, or will the print job go directly to the printer? I hope that's clear? We initially have them set up printing to the printer use Standard TCP/IP ports, but it's difficult to manage the printers and workstations that way. We would like to utilize "Point and print" for this office to make everyone's life easier. Thanks.
