You will have a few reboots as new drivers are installed. (make sure to have drivers for the new box before you begin).
You will probably need to modify your boot.ini
Question, Hardware mirror or windows software mirror? Hardware will be easier.

Is Windows 2000 strong enough so I put one of the two HD in another machine and boot or will I have to reinstall the OS? Both motherboards are pretty old (PII motherboards) and they do not need specific drivers to run.
