The Dell resource CD installs the driver files to the hard drive then installs the XP drivers from there. I had the XP drivers on my C drive (XP). When I started in 2003, I went into device manager and told it to update the needed drivers and specified the directory on C to look in. And since the Dell folder names are no help I just went through all of them until I found the one it accepted.
