addusers.exe from the win2k server resource kit.

dump the nt info* to a text file (CSV) open in excel and modify. Save as csv and open in notepad to verify formatting and import into win2k

* on your NT system, you might get a DLL not found error. Find it on W2k and copy it to NT.

!!!!! Remember to strip out IUSR and ADMINISTRATOR, GUEST, and other accounts. Pay particular attention to the groups at the bottom. If you want to do it right, strip them all out and add members to groups manually for greatest safety.

If you want the display names in a particular order change it in excel before the import.

By default all users get added to the Users OU.

make sure you read the entire help document before running

Group,

I am searching but can't find if there is a tool that will change the
profile path and home dir path for all users in the domain. We are migrating
to windows 2000 and new hardware but we thought we could go ahead and get
the profile information and home dir info over there now with NT. I've
looked at net user but it looks like I would have to type net user joe
/homedir:\\mtfile2\users\%username% for each of my 200 users (at least the
username, everything else I can copy and paste). Is there an easier way to
do this or should I just go through user manager and change what i need.

thanks for any info.
