ran into a littel prediciment here.. recently our hosting dept. moved in house, so I had to set up a separate network for them on our PIX, and they asked me to run some BGP for them so what I did was set them up on our office T-1 for primary and got a secondary T-1 for failover, and was in the process of getting an AS#, only to come to find out that after the secondary T was installed that ISP told me they didn't have an AS# registered to that T and that BGP wouldn't work.... now my question is does anyone know a cheap way to do failover without using BGP? currently I have a CISCO 2651 with dual ethernet ports
and before I had the secondary ISP install that T I told them what I was thinking about doing.. kind of wish they tipped me off with the ASN thing before the install *************************************************************************** The information contained in this message is intended only for the confidential use of the recipient(s) named above.
