I think you really want to either upgrade the domain to Win2k3 or use
ADMT to migrate the users to the new domain. Addusers will bring over
the user IDs, but nothing else (no passwords, profiles, permissions,
etc.). With a domain upgrade, all your users and groups will still be
there, with permissions and passwords intact. ADMT will migrate over
users and, with SID history, permissions as well (not passwords,
though).
