While I in general concur with James' observation - keep in mind that the version of ADO and MDAC installed on your machine is the version of msado15.dll, the other dll's may be of differing versions. ComCheck reports on the versions of the other dll's.
So - If you want to know the version of ADO on your machine, consult the file version of msado15.dll. If you want to know how consistent all of the individual components that ship with MDAC are, use Comchek.
