I've been getting a lot of the problem described in Q260737 since moving
network printers from a Netware server to NT4, but I note that there should
be no security problems with NT workstations (I'm using a W2K workstation).
So I'm wondering why I get this situation:
H:\>net use
New connections will be remembered.
Status Local Remote Network

OK H: \\ARGOSY\TGOWEN Microsoft Windows Network
OK K: \\Argosy\SHARES Microsoft Windows Network
OK M: \\Macsnap\SHARE1 Microsoft Windows Network

Disconnected X: \\Hercules\Security Microsoft Windows Network
OK LPT1 \\argosy\gallery1 Microsoft Windows Network

Disconnected \\Brabazon\Stafford Microsoft Windows Network
OK \\Brabazon\IPC$ Microsoft Windows Network
The command completed successfully.
H:\>net use >lpt1
Access is denied.
I'm able to print in Windows, but in trying to discover why 9x users are
having problems with printing, I happened upon the quirk in DOS printing
(which is still required for our accounts system, unfortunately).
