If your running a W2k server or higher I would use MS's SUS server.

Subject: Automating Windows Update

  Hello Guys,

We have about 100+ workstations that I would like to have keep up with
the hotfixes that come out. The clients that log in do not have any rights
to install software, so I would need a script? Or is there and application
that can push these updates out ?
