Anyone dealt with these? I'm looking for desktop replacement for me.
Key requirements - CHEAP! - reasonably fast - SXGA or better - nice big screen (easy on my old eyes). I'm specifically looking at the 3070US which is $1500 direct from Compaq - 16"SXGA, 2.66GHz P4, 512MEG (1GIG max), 80GIG, DVD/CDRW combo. Nobody around here has any of the 3000 series for me to look at, so I'm looking for comments from anyone who has seen/used one. Specifics.. Is it a nice screen? Battery life? Being a P4 I assume it is somewhat dismal..? Keyboard feel? General.. What do you think?
