Has anybody experienced network connections being lost, between Macintosh Clients and a Windows 2000 Server ?
The Event Log records the occurrence as type ERROR from the SYSTEM Log, with Event ID of 12061. The wording is "Session from user 'username' was timed out and disconnected by the server. The IP address of the Macintosh workstation is in the data" This problem happens on a number of different MACs, with a number of different users, but all accessing the same shared area (different folders and files) on the W2K server The MAC user suddenly gets a popup window reporting a loss of connection, and requesting username and password to re-establish the connection Cheers Bud Dawson =====+=====+=====+=====+=====+=====+===== Bud Dawson, MCSE2000 MacDonald Dettwiler Windows System Admin Computer Services Dept Tel (604)231-2132 13800 Commerce Parkway Fax (604)278-3786 Richmond, British Columbia Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] CANADA V6V 2J3 or: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Web Site: < http://www.mda.ca> =====+=====+=====+=====+=====+=====+===== ------ You are subscribed as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=nt2000&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
