Thanks, I'll try to add a server with W2k3 on it to the request. Considering that last December we dropped a half-million into new servers, SAN and gigabyte backbone, moving everything to w2k3 is far down the road.

I used to use SMS 1.1 but haven't for some time (could never get them to give me $ to upgrade). How is it now? I remember with the version I used it could be pretty "clunky." I'm looking for inventory mgmt, s/ware distribution, patch mgmt and sniffer which SMS does. How do you all feel about it? Will the new version be better?
